Description
1. Base Ingredients (Vehicle & Texture Enhancers)
- Purified Water: Solvent; primary emulsion base.
- Cyclopentasiloxane: Volatile silicone that leaves a silky, non-greasy finish and enhances spreadability
- Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer: Silicone elastomer that thickens and creates a matte, blur effect.
- Caprylyl Methicone: Lightweight silicone aiding even spread of actives and pigments.
- PEG‑12 Dimethicone/PPG‑20 Crosspolymer: Emulsifier that stabilizes the formula and improves texture.
2. UV Filters (Sunscreen Actives)- Octyl Methoxycinnamate (OMC): UVB filter; requires stabilizers for photostability.
- Octyl Salicylate: UVB filter and solvent enhancer for solid filters.
- Tinosorb M (Bisoctrizole): Hybrid, photostable broad-spectrum UVA/UVB filter; also stabilizes other UV filters.
- Uvinul A Plus: Oil-soluble, photostable UVA1 filter; enhances overall UVA protection.
